As soon as Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) decides to assist someone else with all things romantic, he puts his own love life on hold in Coronation Street.
After asking Sarah (Tina O’Brien) for a divorce, Adam is suddenly single. After Sarah had a sexual encounter with Damon (Ciaran Griffiths), he made this choice even though Damon had spent weeks making Adam believe he was the father of Sarah’s child.
After Sarah miscarried the child and Adam said that he could no longer trust her, the plot came to an end. Although he promised Sarah he would still be there for her son Harry, he filed for divorce.
In the near future, newcomer Joel (Calum Lill) invites Dee-Dee (Channique Sterling-Brown) out for a drink and claims that he needs to consult her with US law.
Although Dee-Dee is delighted, things become awkward when Joel realizes that Dee-Dee doesn’t genuinely view the situation as a date.
The following week, Joel runs up Dee-Dee again and tells her that US law was only a pretext to propose to her.
Dee-Dee is delighted, but she disappoints Joel once more when she says she has plans the following few nights.
When Adam eventually learns that Dee-Dee declined a date with Joel in order to spend time taking care of him, he makes the decision to devise a scheme to bring them together.
But will it succeed?
Will Joel turn out to be good or bad news for Dee-Dee given that this is a soap opera?
