Sarah Roberts and Zoe Ventoura’s touching reunion

They had a heart-wrenching farewell on Home and Away but eventually Willow and Alex were reunited. Or the actors, at least, who play them!

A cute picture of herself and former co-star Zoë Ventoura dressed in matching black activewear ensembles was posted by Sarah Roberts, who plays Willow Harris on the hit Aussie soap.

“Look what I find # WILLEX,” she captioned her tweet by the 35-year-old star.

Not just that, but Zoë, 39, reposted the same photo adding: “Accidentally twinning and I’m not crazy about it” in her caption.

The cast of Home and Away was to easily express their excitement in both posts’ comments section.

“Love these xx ladies,” wrote Emily Weir a.k.a Mackenzie Booth.

“Babetown. Population: 2,” quipped Kestie Morassi who plays Maggie Astoni.

Veteran performer Lynne McGranger meanwhile commented: “Hello pretty ladies.”

Doctor Alex bid farewell back in March to Summer Bay leaving Willow distraught and the show’s fans even took the comments to plead for her return to the series.

“How much I actually missed you guys before now, I didn’t know. # willexforever#bringbackalex,” one fan wrote.

“I am also really sad that Willem is no longer there. I hope Alex will one day come to the bay and make her a frequent cast member. I still love Alex, there’s so much more Home and Away should have done for her character,” another wrote.

One also commented: “Willow wants Alex back, this new amber girl leads her astray!!”

Sarah wrote a dedication to Willow and Alex (or Willex) soon after her final scenes with Zoë calling it “the most exquisite love story I’ve had the pleasure of hearing on film.”

“I knew how important this plot would be for the LGBTQ community. I feel so fortunate to be part of it. I hope it means more exposure and more inclusion. Every scene was written, executed, and filmed with the greatest love and reverence for the actors, the relationship, and the culture,” she said.

Sarah had plenty to thank for the relationship, but she gave her “evil friend,” Zoë, a special nod.

“Like you’re writing, Lenny Kravitz says, ‘It’s not over until it’s over.’..see you on Thursday for matcha lattes & a beach stroll, so thankful not only to have used our artistic talents to make a difference but also to have met a lifelong mate.”
