Neighbours Spoilers – New pictures show Flashback Week returnees

As part of the Tell-All Flashback Week on Neighbours, new images of the returnees who will be visiting Erinsborough have been revealed.

Starting on Monday, November 13th, the week will span three timelines: the current one, the one from a year ago at Terese’s (Rebekah Elmaloglou) and Paul’s (Stefan Dennis) vow renewal, and the one from two years ago, at Toadie’s (Ryan Moloney) and Melanie’s (Lucinda Cowden) royal wedding.

In the end, it will clarify the circumstances that led to the dissolution of both marriages—Melanie walking away from Toadie and Paul leaving his bride at the altar.

Although Paul has consistently stated that he just wasn’t meant for marriage and that he left Terese in order to protect her, he has never disclosed the precise reason behind his decision, particularly after making the effort to win Terese back.

A handful of characters will be returning throughout the special week. Some characters are only in the flashbacks, but others will stay put because it has been announced that Nicolette Stone, Aaron Brennan (Matt Wilson), and David Tanaka (Takaya Honda) will be returning to Ramsay Street.

Nicolette’s appearance has changed due to a casting change. After Charlotte Chimes steps down, Hannah Monson assumes the role. New photos feature her with co-parents David and Nicolette as well as their daughter Isla (Hana Abe-Tucker).

These days, a number of fresh images include the returning cast members who will reappear in flashback sequences.

Callum (Morgan Baker) and Yashvi Rebecchi (Olivia Junker) were previously shown, but Amy Greenwood (Jacinta Stapleton) has now returned. Toadie and Melanie are seen with the trio while having cocktails at No. 30, with Melanie continuing to wear her Bride tiara.

Amy announced her pregnancy in the show’s finale, but the father’s name remained a mystery. Will we identify the person at last?

The will-they-won’t-they couple Chloe Brennan (April Rose Pengilly) and Elly Conway (Jodi Gordon), who reunited in the show’s then-final episodes in July 2022, are also returning.

Although they are currently only seen in flashback sequences, the two are anticipated to make a comeback to Erinsborough in the present in the upcoming weeks.

Additionally, Imogen Willis (Ariel Kaplan) returns.

She made an appearance during the first week of the show in September 2023, helping her mother Terese get ready to marry Toadie. She is present for Terese and Paul’s vow renewal in the flashback episodes, which ends tragically as Paul leaves, leaving a distraught and bewildered Terese at the alter.

Benji McNair’s Malcolm Kennedy is also returning. In July 2022, Mal made his way back to Erinsborough and disclosed that he was seeing Izzy Hoyland (Natalie Bassingthwaighte), the mother of Karl’s child Holly (Lucinda Armstrong-Hall), and Karl’s ex-girlfriend.

The latest images show that Malcolm and Holly cross paths in the same timeline. It has been revealed that Holly and her boyfriend Eden visited Erinsborough two years ago, but why did they go there and why did they choose not to introduce themselves?

Bea Nilsson (Bonnie Anderson) and Ian Rawlings (Phil Martin) are both making a comeback, along with one more character whose identity is yet unknown.

In the July 2022 finale, Phil made a fleeting appearance while having a party with the other Ramsay Street residents following Toadie and Melanie’s nuptials. He will be speaking to us this time, as it will be his first official presence since 2005.

The updated photos also feature David Tanaka at No. 22 in the present, when he shows up to confess his involvement in the startling incidents.

The complete explanation behind David, Nicolette, and Aaron’s move is about to be revealed. The show has never addressed this issue since its return.

Takaya Honda stated (via TV Tonight) that she was “very excited to return to the Neighbours set and continue the journey of David and Aaron.” There will be more fascinating tales in the future, and I have no doubt that viewers will be captivated by Hannah Monson’s novel and captivating interpretation of Nicolette and Hana Abe Tucker’s endearing portrayal of Isla.

Matt Wilson declared, “Baby, we’re back! It gives me great pleasure to be back on Ramsay Street. I’m eager to start having adult conversations after a year of being a stay-at-home dad. The programme has undergone significant transformation in the best ways.

“I can’t wait for everyone to see Hannah Monson’s unique rendition of Nicolette; she is a pleasure to work with.” And Hana Abe-Tucker, who is by far the biggest character on set, is now portraying our tiny Isla.

Here’s what the co-parenting three had been up to before the show’s final episode of 2022, for those who need a fast refresher.

Nicolette was thrown into David and Aaron’s world when she first showed up in 2020. David and Aaron had made the decision to consider starting a family. Following a wild evening with a turkey baster, the three discovered Nicolette was expecting a child.

The majority of the time, everything went smoothly, but Nicolette became suspicious that Aaron’s sister Chloe (April Rose Pengilly), to whom she had recently proposed, had cheated on her with David’s brother Leo (Tim Kano) and had left Erinsborough. This led to tensions.

When Paul (Stefan Dennis) noticed how upset David and Aaron were, he went in search of Nicolette and bought back the child she had given birth to. However, it came out that Abigail, the child of Britney Barnes (Montana Cox) and Leo, was the baby that was purchased.

After Nicolette returned to Erinsborough, David and Aaron were unable to trust her. However, after a few months, the three of them were reunited as the close-knit family that we had all grown to love.

As Nicolette was having an affair with Paul’s niece Kiri (Gemma Bird Matheson), David became entangled in the turmoil surrounding Freya (Phoebe Roberts). He was imprisoned after failing to save her violent former boyfriend Gareth (Jack Pearson).

David was allowed to leave prison as the show came to an end, and he and Aaron decided to travel to New York with Nicolette so that they could be with the rest of David’s siblings.

But at the last minute, they decided to remain in Erinsborough, which derailed the preparations. Two years have gone by, and they haven’t been seen since (at least not publicly!). It’s unclear why they left No. 32.

We’ll explain all of it now!

“Is everything as it seems? The new season began with some major shocks for the audience,” says Jason Herbison, executive producer of Neighbours.

“We’ll go back in time and examine what actually transpired throughout the previous two years during Flashback Week. For the occupants, everything will have altered by the end, and the effects will be felt for months to come.
