Neighbours spoilers: Blackmail hell for David over Gareth’s death?

After surviving the gruelling coroner’s questions, David (Takaya Honda) believes he is free of blame for Gareth’s death. But in Neighbours, he’s going to get a harsh shock. Someone is aware of the truth and is willing to punish David over it.

Aaron (Matt Wilson) survives life-threatening injuries after a close call, and everything else fades into insignificance for David. His husband is being released from the hospital, and the two will be together once more. It’s a wonderful life.

He meets a stumbling block when he feels Mick hears him and Freya discussing what they’ve done in a heart-stopping moment. But David’s newfound happiness triumphs, and he and Aaron are once again on cloud nine. He believes he can survive anything now that he has survived the coroner’s interviews.

Even Gareth’s suspicious ex-girlfriend Emma, who believes David could have saved him, hasn’t swayed them.

Freya (Phoebe Roberts) is likewise relieved to be free of Gareth and the dreadful deed she has committed. It feels amazing to be off the hook, and she’s ready to take life by the horns.

For her, now is the moment to focus on Levi (Richie Morris)– now that they’ve sorted things out and survived a frightening ordeal, it’s all downhill from here.

She and David, on the other hand, are counting their chickens because the truth is soon to be revealed. When David gets to work, he discovers a disturbing note on his desk. ‘I know what you did,’ it says. They could be talking about him letting the loo roll run out, but it’s more probable that they’re talking about him letting Gareth die. It appears that he did not get away with it after all.

Scenes will begin airing on Channel 5 on Monday, March 28.
