ITV Coronation Street’s Jude Riordan says ‘I can’t believe it’ as childhood hero becomes a castmate

Imelda Staunton will join Brassic for the holiday special, according to the ITV soap opera star.

ITV Coronation Street actor Jude Riordan expressed his delight at working with a hero from his youth on the Sky series Brassic. Imelda Staunton will join Brassic for the holiday special, according to the ITV soap opera star.

Jude wrote on Instagram, “Can’t believe I’ve now worked with and met Professor Umbridge. Imelda isn’t a fan of pictures being shared, so he continued, “I have a photo of us, but I am keeping it for myself.”

Staunton, who plays Queen Elizabeth II in The Crown, was photographed earlier this week while filming on the Sky comedy-drama set. The well-regarded actress was pictured in a behind-the-scenes photo with Vinnie co-creator Joe Gilgun.

The Jude and Michelle Keegan-hosted Christmas special picks up where Damien Molony left off as Dylan. “I will be devastated,” Molony told Radio Times, “when the WhatsApp group messages start coming in, in the next few weeks, and people start saying, ‘Oh my God, do you remember when this happened on set?’”

I find it to be very exciting for the show to lose a team member and watch how the dynamics change. But it’s a depressing day. Additionally, he has made a suggestion that Dylan’s story might be expanded upon “a little bit” in the upcoming fifth season.

The festive special feels like it’s been a long time coming, but everyone is excited, a source told The Sun. Four years after debuting on television, Brassic will have a Christmas special. Forget your fairytale; it will be more in the vein of Billy Bob Thornton’s Bad Santa and The Grinch than your schmaltzy holiday knees-up Brassic style. This life is wonderful.

The cast is extremely excited to portray what a Christmas in Hawley looks like for the gang of criminal misfits in the special episode, which will be filmed next month in and around Manchester and Lancashire.
