Actress Vernee Watson has it much easier because she is commemorating a milestone, despite the fact that General Hospital’s Aunt Stella is working hard to make nephew Curtis feel at ease as he deals with difficulties.

That’s because this talented performer is celebrating her 74th birthday today. She was born on September 28, 1949, in New York City, New York. Watson, then 17 years old, joined the Al Fann Theatrical Ensemble, a touring acting company, after graduating from New York University with a degree in theater.
Watson first appeared in the movie Cotton Comes to Harlem in 1972, and two years later, she played a major role in Trick Baby. She then won several recurring and lead roles on some of the biggest primetime hits of the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s.
These numerous shows included Sister, Sister, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Welcome Back, Kotter, Carter Country, Foley Square (which starred Margaret Colin, a former Margo from As the World Turns), and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Her other filmography includes roles in Norman…Is That You?, All Night Long, and Antwone Fisher, to name just a few.
Vernee Watson has a long history of working as a voice actress for Warner Bros. Animation and Hanna-Barbera Productions. Captain Caveman and the Teenage Angels, A Pup Named Scooby-Doo, Animaniacs, and Batman: The Animated Series are just a few of the animated shows and movies she has produced.
Watson had a recurring role on The Young and the Restless on CBS in 1999, which served as excellent practice for her future role as Stella Henry on General Hospital, which she has played intermittently since June 7, 2017.
