Emmerdale’s Gabby Thomas astounded as relationship bombshell rocks the village

Fans of Emmerdale have watched as Victoria Sugden and Jacob Gallagher formally decided to pursue their new romance.

Victoria Sugden (played by Isabel Hodgins) and Jacob Gallagher (Joe Warren Plant) in Emmerdale have decided to keep their relationship a secret after reigniting their romance. Official spoilers, however, indicate that will all soon change.

ITV viewers will witness scenes that will air next week in which Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) has an awkward conversation with Jacob and comes to believe that he is infatuated with her. The following day, after appreciating their bond, she confides in Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) and Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) about her worries.

Gabby makes the decision to speak with Jacob in an effort to correct him. But it turns out that he wasn’t genuinely speaking of her.

She is shocked to learn that Jacob and Victoria are actually an item. Now that the truth is beginning to surface, the couple decides it’s time to inform their family of their new relationship.

Having no idea how to break the news, they choose to first meet with Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi) and Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell). They don’t know, though, that Rachel Gill-Davis’s character Gail Loman is listening in on the entire chat.

They clumsily confess that Victoria’s ex-partner David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden) and Jacob’s adoptive father were aware of their romance as they tell Eric and Leyla about it.

They acknowledge that they played a role in his decision to leave the village, as they are unwilling to hold onto any more secrets.

Will their family be able to accept them as a new item now that the truth is out? Or, like David, will they disapprove of their status as a couple?

Supporters saw as David was finding it more and more difficult to be around them both at the end of last month.

Ultimately, he made the decision to leave the village and relocate to London in order to be with his daughter Amba (Ava Jayasinghe).

But as he made his way to the store to bid adieu, Jacob attempted to make amends one last time before leaving.

But even though David told Jacob to stop calling him dad, it was obvious that he no longer wanted anything to do with him.

Fans last saw David driving out of the village to start a new life in London in an emotional farewell.

For almost two decades, actor Matthew Wolfenden has been a part of the ITV soap opera, having portrayed some extremely terrifying storylines during his tenure.

“The door is left open, they’re not killing me off, I’ve been promised,” he said in reference to his departure from This Morning earlier this year. That’s okay for me to tell you.

“Who knows, maybe I’ll come back, but we’ll see.”
