This post contains spoilers for today’s episode of EastEnders.
Another epic cliffhanger from EastEnders has left us wondering just how much Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) will be able to carry for “Sukeve.”
Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) was killed, and after Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) and his son Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) were taken into custody, the woman went back to Walford to be with her soulmate, Nish’s mistreated wife Suki (Balvinder Sopal).
Eve gave Ravi a passionate kiss before revealing that she had been escaping after being threatened and attacked by Nish and Ravi. This is how she made sure the police discovered her bloody jacket inside Ravi’s vehicle.
When Suki and Eve went to see the shocked Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner), they told her about their plan to go, but Stacey was appalled at how much Eve was lying to the police.
At the station, Ravi called Vinny (Shiv Jalota), the son of Suki and Nish, in a panic, informing him that Eve was still alive and most likely with Suki at that precise moment.
Eve pleaded with Suki to persuade Vinny that Ravi was lying because she was in danger of dying, and they had to leave the nation before Nish could escape from police custody in time to avoid being discovered.
As his daughter Amy Mitchell’s (Ellie Dadd) distress over their divorce led to a near-crisis for her mental health, Jack cruelly ordered his wife Denise Fox (Diane Parish) to remain in the family home.
Denise was still furious with Jack for his affair with Stacey, but she was also afraid of Jack’s disgusting behavior. He even threw her clothes out of her suitcase before going to speak with Stacey.
However, the detective was taken aback when he unexpectedly found Eve and Suki a few hours after Jack had made arrests related to her murder.
Eve gave a brief account of her experience at the hands of Nish and Ravi, and when Eve and Suki locked hands, a bewildered Jack finally realized what was happening.
Along with the other women, Stacey begged Jack to keep quiet about Eve’s existence—at least long enough to give her and Suki time to get away.
Will Jack care enough to assist Suki and Eve, though, as his actions become more and more callous? Will the two be unable to start a new life together, or will it be too late?
