Coronation Street’s Paul Foreman star details ‘guilt’ over Billy Mayhew betrayal

Paul Foreman from Coronation Street has been ruminating on his future as his motor neurone disease symptoms seem to be getting worse, according to an exclusive report. However, the Paul actor revealed in an exclusive interview what happens after that.

Actor Peter Ash of Coronation Street has spoken out about Paul’s guilt over betraying Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank), his new husband.

Viewers of the ITV soap opera have witnessed Paul’s symptoms deteriorate ever since he received his MND diagnosis earlier this year, as he has recently begun using a wheelchair to deal with his mobility issues.

Fans are aware that Paul’s tragic storyline will end in death because there is no treatment for his illness, even though the Weatherfield resident considered assisted suicide.

When discussing the matter with partner Billy a while back, it was clear he was vehemently opposed to it, and it was quickly put to rest.

However, after the passing of his friend Shelley Rossington (Natalie Amber), Paul confided in Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) that he wanted his assistance rather than Billy’s because of Billy’s strong opposition to it.

The soap star gave an exclusive interview to Express.co.uk and other media outlets, outlining Paul’s future plans.

He acknowledged that he does feel bad about letting Billy believe that he has put an end to the concept of assisted suicide.

Yes, he will feel guilty for keeping something from Billy, but Peter explained that he did so because he was aware of Billy’s reaction.

“Clearly, they discussed it when it was brought up earlier and it was put to rest when they made the decision to get married.

“Shelley’s passing brings everything back to Paul, and after realizing Shelly wasn’t given that option, he is determined to end things on his own terms.

“Paul really wants to accomplish that before he loses his ability to speak or perform simple tasks.

Paul wants it to happen on his terms because he knows Shelley was by herself at the end.

Billy hasn’t yet learned about Paul’s plan to end his life at his own convenience, but the two will have a huge celebration in the drama next week.

According to official spoilers, the couple will exchange vows in the Bistro the following week as Paul’s mother and sister accompany him down the aisle.

The couple exchanges vows, and the wedding guests cheer for them as they savor the happy occasion.

Billy is shocked to learn that Paul has been keeping something very important from him.
