Ken Barlow of Coronation Street is triumphant tonight (April 20) as he finds a final piece of evidence against Charles Lake. Ken (Bill Roache) vowed vengeance on Charles, who has been exploiting his position at Still Waters as the chairman of the citizens’ association.
In Monday’s episode, Ken stepped up his attempts to expose Charles to bogus fines and to take the proceeds for himself.
Having also had his hands on the official Still Waters rule book, Ken has a further achievement in doing even further detective work. First of all, Ken finds out that there is no dedicated bank account of Still Waters for the fines to be paid against Charles’ claims.
Moreover, Ken also discovers that the payments were made into Charles’ personal bank account, which proves that he is a scammer. With all of the puzzle pieces in place now, Ken selects the Still Waters election as the perfect time to reveal his findings.
With confidence, Ken makes his own pitch for the residents’ chair position, promising much more transparency than Charles can deliver. Playing his trump card, Ken then lists the various evidence of dodgy deals with Charles. Will this enough to secure Ken’s election victory?
