Coronation Street makes epic blunder after fans spot massive prop error

Coronation Street suffered a serious gaffe after a major mistake saw a picture of an old actor appear in a picture frame during a scene with the actor that replaced him

On Monday, December 18, the ITV soap opera Coronation Street made a monumental mistake when a picture of an old character appeared on screen—during a sequence involving the star’s successor.

While they quarreled over Stephen’s notebook, Shona, David, Max, and Lily were observed attempting to spend some quality family time with Gail Platt. As the action went on, however, astute viewers noticed a prop behind Gail that featured a former Max actor appearing in a photo frame in their home.

The photo featured actor Harry McDermott, who played Max Turner from August 2010 until December 2020, when Paddy Bever took over. The props staff obviously missed the memo, for the picture of Max actor Harry remains prominently displayed on the Platt Household windowsill.

“They haven’t bothered changing the photos to the new Max,” said one fan. Another penned: “OMG you’d think they’d change this if it’s a new actor ridiculous,” while a third added: “Well spotted!”

Elsewhere, Kenny and Carla had failed to persuade Audrey to hand over Stephen’s journal. Daisy told Jenny not to give up as she deserved a cut of that money for what she went through and she could buy the Rovers back.

After calling at the cafe, Daisy snatched David’s keys and went into No. 8 after noticing that all of the Platts’ outerwear were hanging up. Frantically, she looked for the journal, but as Audrey returned, she had to rush upstairs. After Audrey acknowledged that she had thrown the book away in an attempt to move on from his death, she eventually found the journal.

She eventually deciphered his password and was able to access his laptop and locate the missing money after poring over a number of hints. Peter slipped a letter from the hospital into his pocket after reading it.

When Peter admitted to Tim that he couldn’t stop obsessing over Stephen’s death, Tim reckoned he needed a distraction and had an idea. In the hot tub at No.4, Tim advised Peter to forget thoughts of Stephen and focus on the good things in his life..

Peter reckoned it was easier said than done. Peter confided in Tim that he was worried his relationship with Carla had run its course as these days she was totally preoccupied with the factory. Tim urged him not to give up. Carla returned home with a date night supper for two and suggested they watch a film.

Peter was pleased until Carla got a call telling her the factory alarm was going off and headed back out.
