Vanessa Woodfield’s mum appears in Emmerdale as her dark background is revealed

Vanessa Woodfield has had various family members visit her in the village over the years, but a new theory by Express.co.uk claims that someone who has yet to visit her may soon do so.

Vanessa (Michelle Hardwick) had a lot to contend with as Friday’s Emmerdale episode began, having learnt that her lover Suzy Merton (Martelle Edinborough) was involved in Leyla Harding’s (Roxy Shahidi) overdose.

Vanessa decided to seek help from her friend, Rhona Goskirk (Zo Henry), after becoming tired of hearing excuse after excuse from her partner. The ITV soap favorite, on the other hand, walked in on her friend arguing with her mother, Mary Goskirk (Louise Jameson), about the pensioner’s pass on the local vet.

Earlier last week, an intoxicated Mary attempted to kiss Vanessa while her daughter’s friend complimented her.

Mary acted on her inhibitions because she was lonely and had no one to love her, but Rhona saw everything and was enraged with her mother.

The duo had sat in silence by the time Vanessa arrived to see them after squabbling at the start of Friday’s show.

Vanessa observed as she entered the difficult situation: “It’s no surprise that Marlon is sitting outside. He mentioned you’d been bickering all morning, so is this a sponsored silence?”

“Vanessa, I am so humiliated,” Mary jumped to her feet, wanting to apologize for what had transpired.

Vanessa saw as she approached the problematic situation: “Marlon is unsurprisingly sitting outdoors. Is this a sponsored quiet since he mentioned you’d been bickering all morning?”

“Vanessa, I am so mortified,” Mary exclaimed as she rose to her feet, eager to repent for what had happened.

Although Rhona may have thought she was making a casual remark, she and her buddy may be surprised when the matriarchal figure appears.

Vanessa, on the other hand, may not be thrilled to see her mother because she knows it would bring up some painful memories from her childhood.

Following Frank Clayton’s (Michael Praed) debut to the program in 2016, it was shown that Vanessa had a mother figure.

He grappled with the idea that he abandoned Vanessa and her long-lost sister, Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh), when they were little.

Vanessa didn’t notice the difference because her mother married someone else and became Mrs. Woodfield when she was ten years old.

Vanessa couldn’t help but detest Frank for tearing the family apart as she struggled to fit in.

She might have been upset with him because if he had stayed with her mother, her horrible past might not have occurred.

Mrs. Woodfield was so pleased in her marriage to Mr. Woodfield that he would never do anything wrong in her sight and would prioritize his wants above Vanessa’s.

Vanessa’s stepfather could have made it apparent that she was not welcome and forced her to leave the family home when she grew older.

Vanessa would have gone to college and met Rhona if her mother had turned a blind eye.

This would have introduced Vanessa to Mary, who became a mother figure to her as she and Rhona spent so much time together.

Unfortunately, if Vanessa had been diagnosed with colon cancer and wanted to leave the community, she would have looked to her own mother for help.

Vanessa and her mother may have argued like cats and dogs about Mr. Woodfield, who would have died, as she recovered from her therapy.

Vanessa may have felt obligated to stay with her mother when Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) cheated on her.

Vanessa would have returned to the village as soon as she felt well enough and strong enough to confront her ex.

This would have been towards the end of last year, although she may not have informed her mother of her plans.

As a result, her mother could have arrived in the village after not hearing from her daughter in over eight months, frightened about what had occurred.

The village vet may address her mother, informing her that they could never have a connection as long as she defends her late husband.

Vanessa’s mother may reveal in an emotional heart-to-heart that she was scared of being alone when Frank left her.

Mr Woodfield was eager to give her the life she had always desired and did not want to do anything that would lead them to split up.

She might apologize to her daughter for disappointing her and explain that she will stay in the Dales to repair their relationship.

Will Vanessa take her mother’s hand in friendship?

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7:30 pm, with an hour-long episode airing on Thursdays.
