Sharni Vinson shares emotional tribute to late co-star Nicholas Tucci

‘ It’s hard to process ‘: former actress Sharni Vinson posts an emotional tribute to late co-star Nicholas Tucci following his tragic death this week at the age of 38

Former Home and Away star Sharni Vinson has paid an emotional tribute to Nicholas Tucci following his sudden death this week. 

The pair starred together in the movie You Are Next, posting a pair photo on Instagram of her paying respects.

The devastation and tragedy this week was hard to process,' she wrote, sharing a photo of both at a promotional event. It's hard to process': former Home and Away actress Sharni Vinson, 36, (left) posted an emotional tribute to Nicholas Tucci after his sudden death (right).' It was an honor to meet you and work on You're Next with you. Heaven is too early to claim a particular one.'

You're Next was an American black comedy horror movie that grossed more than $26million at the box office and set up a following after.

This week, Actor Nicholas died after fighting a mystery disease he chose to keep secret. He was a mere 38 years old.

In an Instagram post-Sharni wrote:' This week's destruction and tragedy have been difficult to process. It was a pleasure to meet you, and work on You're Next with you. Pictured: left to right: Sharni, producer Adam Wingard and Nicholas at the You're Next Premiere in LA, 2013 The actor's father, Alexander Tucci, made the announcement Friday in a statement on Facebook.   

This is Nick's father Alexander Tucci. Nick died at Smilow Cancer Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut on Tuesday, March 3,' he started out in the post.  

Nick chose to keep his illness secret for as long as he could follow his career and creative aspirations​

His father revealed that over the last year of his life his son was still able to' audition, go on location, and continue the work he loved so much.' 

During his career, Alexander continued to thank all the people who had worked and helped his son.

To those of you in the cultures of film, television, and theatre… Thank you for giving Nick feedback, encouragement and support.

Ambitions:' Nick wants to keep his condition private so that he can continue to pursue his career and creative ambitions for as long as possible,' his father wrote' To those of you who appreciated Nick's work on the screen and on stage… Thank you for acknowledging his talent and appreciating his efforts.' He continued by saying,' To all… thank you for your gift of friendship to my family.' A number of Tucci's collaborators paid tribute on Twitter. 

Co-star Barbara Crampton posted:' Rip Nicholas Tucci, dear sweet mate. I have been lucky to work with him on YOU'RE NEXT and CHANNEL ZERO twice.

Making his mark: You're Next earned more than $26million on a budget of just $1million' He's gone too soon, but his mark on the genre will never be forgotten and our hearts.

Manufacturer Keith Calder wrote:' RIP Nick Tucci. I've been lucky enough to work with Nick on three movies (UNDOCUMENTED, YOU'RE NEXT and FAULTS) and he's been one of my favorite actors. 'I am proud to have had the opportunity to call him a mentor and colleague.'

Your Simon Barrett's next screenwriter shared:' Just now you've heard that Nick Tucci, who played Felix in You're Next, has died of cancer, which he kept private. Nick was a wonderful, very great actor and human being, and I'm really sad that I haven't been able to spend more time with him.' And You're Next screenwriter Simon Barrett shared: 'It's only now that Nick Tucci, who played Felix in You're Next, died of cancer that he kept private. 

Nick has been a fantastic, very great actor and human being, and I am deeply sad that I have not been able to spend more time with him. Not sure what to say here, that's awful news.' Tucci actually has three new post-production projects: Ballad Of A Hustler, Come Home and Ten Minutes To Midnight.
