Sam Frost’s job on Home and Away could be jeopardized when Channel Seven said this week that all employees must be double-vaccinated against Covid-19 by January.
But the former Bachelorette star, who just disclosed she is unvaccinated in an emotional video, was unfazed by the latest controversy as she filmed scenes on the set of Home And Away on Tuesday.
The 32-year-old was seen on the set of the long-running soap at Palm Beach, on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, going about her business.
She was dressed in activewear and appeared to be filming a jogging scene on the beach while in character as nurse Jasmine Delaney.
In a pink and fuchsia crop top, multicolored leggings, and grey training shoes, Sam flaunted her body.
The blonde beauty had her luscious locks up in a ponytail and wore a pair of AirPods in her ears.
Her director gave her the green light to jog along the sand after she patiently waited at her mark while the cameras were set up.
Sam appeared to do the take a few times before she was then taking a break.
She was later seen walking along the shore with her script in hand, most likely practicing her lines for her next part.
Onset, the actress was joined by a cute puppy that seemed to enjoy playing with her.
She picked up a stick and tossed it for the pooch to fetch for her.
This follows the announcement of a January 10 deadline for personnel of Seven Productions, which includes Home And Away, to be twice vaccinated against Covid-19 in order to continue working.
According to the Herald Sun on Friday, Seven West Media’s Director of Production Andrew Backwell sent an email to colleagues declaring that the network will ‘only engage fully vaccinated presenters, cast, and crew.’
‘To ensure the safest possible work environment for cast, crew, and presenters, Seven Productions has made the decision to only engage those who are completely vaccinated against COVID-19,’ a representative for the network told the publication.
‘Seven strongly encourages vaccination to protect our people, their colleagues, and their families.’
While the network will not comment on specific individuals, Sam, who recently indicated that she was not vaccinated, is likely to be affected by the law.
A Channel Seven spokeswoman told Daily Mail Australia that the network will “not comment or speculate on the vaccination status of individuals.”
The former Bachelorette star’s Instagram account was deactivated on October 9, only days after she revealed in a tearful video that she was unvaccinated and that her mental health had suffered as a result of others’ ‘judging’ her.
Since 2017, the actress, who has played nurse Jasmine Delaney on Home and Away, has advocated for a more accepting attitude toward unvaccinated Australians.
‘I was really hesitant about doing a video or even speaking up about this sort of thing, but I feel like it’s getting to a point now in the world where there’s a lot of segregation,’ she said in the video.
Sam then claimed she hadn’t been vaccinated, but that she had discussed her option with her medical doctor and a psychologist; nevertheless, it is known she does not have a genuine medical exemption.
Before imploring people to treat each other with more kindness and compassion, the reality TV personality said that she could ‘get in trouble if she came out publicly as unvaccinated.
Her video sparked a firestorm of criticism, largely due to her use of the word “segregation” to describe how society “judges” unvaccinated people.
‘Segregation’ is typically used to describe societies that are divided due to race, religion, or sexual orientation.
Sam returned to Instagram on Wednesday, and thanked her loved ones including her colleagues, and said she’d been inundated with ‘support and love’.
‘Thank you for the enormous amount of support and love over the past few weeks,’ she began in a post on Instagram Stories.
‘I received thousands and thousands of beautiful messages and emails. I appreciate it, more than you’ll ever know.
‘Incredibly grateful for my friends, family, and work colleagues who held my hand through the storm, and loved me unconditionally. Kindness always wins. With all of my heart, thank you.’
