Rob Mallard outlines a major feud between Barlow and Platt on Coronation Street.

Daniel and David aren’t the only ones who haven’t been getting along lately.

Sarah’s (Tina O’Brien) effort at a Barlow/Platt Christmas did not go as planned, and many family members clashed and argued as a result (which did make for quite a brilliant viewing, might we add).

Let’s return to David and Daniel.

Daniel’s problems with Max (Paddy Bever) have periodically threatened to jeopardize his teaching profession since he began working as a teacher.

When the teacher finds Max in his flat this week, Max and Daniel will once again go head-to-head.

Daniel pushes Max through the flat door after seeing him smash up an item of Sinead’s, sending him sliding down the stairs.

Rob Mallard has revealed more about the Platts vs. Barlows storyline as things continue to unravel…

‘It gets a little wild west; they both have information on each other that they could use to get the other in serious trouble, but they opt to resolve matters between themselves by taking the law into their own hands.’

‘It’s incredibly important to him, he’s worked so hard on his PGCE and he wants to do something significant,’ Rob says as he talks about Daniel’s passion for teaching.

‘He tells David that he wants to make a difference and that the best way for him to do so is to educate.’ It’s something he’s passionate about, and it’s given him the most normal life he’s had in years. Sinead’s death turned his life upside down; he was left alone with Bertie and had no idea where he was going. It’s a lovely little distinct from being a father anchor for him in the world.’
