This year’s TV Week Logie Awards have rejected former Home And Away performers Sam Frost and Harley Bonner.
The two did not receive an invitation to TV’s night of nights, according to Emerald City, and will not be attending with their fellow former Home And Away co-stars.
According to the article, due to “restricted ticketing,” invitations were only granted to stars who were presently filming the soap.
‘Because of the restricted number of tickets available, invitations were extended to cast members who are presently working with the production.’ They stated that Sam ended filming in December 2021.
Last year, both performers left Home and Away shortly after the show’s production company, Seven West Media, mandated Covid-19 vaccinations for the cast and staff.
Harley and Sam, on the other hand, have not verified that they quit the series due to their individual vaccination statuses.
Sam, who had been on Home and Away since 2017 as nurse Jasmine Delaney, left the show in December of last year.
Harley left Home And Away less than a year after joining the show as Logan Bennett in January 2022.
The 30-year-old actor published a lengthy Instagram post regarding cancel culture following his departure from the show.
When it came to sending out invites for the ceremony, Logies organisers also stated that the vaccination status of participants was not an issue.
‘Neither the state nor the venue requirements need [vaccination status from attendees],’ a spokesman told Emerald City.
Following a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the Logies will be hosted on Sunday evening.
