- Harlow is serious about her work
Harlow comes up with a business concept in order to establish her value at Lassiter’s. She discovers that the Quill group is in financial difficulty and suggests that Terese and Paul invest in the firm. Terese sees the logic in the proposal and agrees to investigate it further.
As the project progresses, Harlow is relieved that Chloe isn’t involved — and that she has gained some ground with Paul over her work competitor. But, when Chloe realizes she’s been frozen out, what will she think?
- Terese mothers Jesse
Despite being a bit scared when she realizes Jesse’s birthday is a day that carries significant meaning for her, Terese continues to warm up to him.
Terese decides to intervene after Jesse confesses how much his family has ostracised him for what he did. She confronts Shay, his stepsister, and gives her a lesson on the value of family above commerce.
Later, when she talks about her late son Josh, she finds herself pulled to Jesse once more, and it appears that their affection is reciprocal. Is Terese, on the other hand, going too far?
- Melanie is also a serial thriller
Toadie is taken aback when he learns Melanie’s secret: she had relationships with several of her past bosses while working for them. Plus, when relationships have gone bad, she’s done some horrible things.
Toadie begins to doubt their whole connection, fearing he’ll become another victim of her boss’s infatuation. Melanie tries to justify herself by claiming that Toadie isn’t simply another notch on her bedpost.
But, when she begins to divulge more facts about her background, will Melanie exacerbate the situation?
- Mackenzie is terrified
Mackenzie realizes she is to blame for Melanie’s secrets being revealed to Toadie because she was the one who contacted numerous of Melanie’s past employers.
But, while Mackenzie is concerned for Toadie’s safety, she is also concerned about herself, knowing what Melanie has done in the past in retaliation for failed relationships.
Melanie will now want to exact some form of retaliation, Mackenzie believes, but Hendrix argues she’s overreacting. Will Mackenzie’s worries be realized later, when she confronts Melanie?
- David takes a huge risk
David goes to work despite being on a leave of absence, desperate to discover missing Nicolette.
With the baby expected so soon, he knows Nicolette will need medical help at some time. So David accesses Nicolette’s computerised medical data, falsely claiming to have been treating her and requesting that her new doctor contact her.
When Karl notices what David is doing, he jumps in front of him and stops him from sending the message.
Karl knows he needs to disclose what occurred, but will David be able to cope if his professional life becomes as chaotic as his personal life?
- Paul’s hidden mission
While David and Aaron await word on Nicolette, Paul learns that she has been seen in Canberra.
Paul decides to take matters into his own hands after discussing it with Terese and secretly flies up there. He runs across Audrey, who has been seen with Nicolette, and she provides him with another lead.
Paul’s patience is finally rewarded when he spots the lady he’s been looking for while waiting in a local park. However, as she flees, Paul is left angry at being so close yet so far away.
- Amy, Ned, and Levi come to a major choice
Amy first turns down Ned’s offer of an exclusive relationship with both him and Levi. Amy begins to realize the benefits after realizing her deep love for both of them.
Their friends are taken aback by their choice to pursue a polyamorous relationship, but they attempt to be supportive. Sheila is furious at the prospect, claiming that it would all end in tragedy.
Sheila’s concerns, on the other hand, simply serve to strengthen the trio’s will to succeed.

David has had enough of the Nicolette issue and takes it out on Aaron. He eventually can’t stand it any longer and collapses in Terese’s arms.
Recognizing that his brother requires his assistance, Leo prepares a peace offering of Japanese pancakes using his great-grandmother’s recipe.
As David begins to defrost, the two discuss their differences. Will they be able to work together to help them both through this difficult time?

Aaron and Chloe spend some time together, and when Aaron notices something is wrong with her, she reluctantly admits that she misses Nicolette and wants her back.
After all the problems she’s created, Chloe realises it’s a huge ask, and she’s scared Aaron will be upset. Will Aaron risk losing his sister after losing his kid and feeling like he’s also losing his husband? Is he willing to offer Chloe his blessing to continue their relationship?
- Nicolette’s baby surprise
Paul is overjoyed to have met Nicolette, but things quickly become complicated when she confesses the truth: she’s already had the baby!
Paul is taken aback and insists on being escorted to his granddaughter. Nicolette refuses, insisting that the child is safe. But Paul isn’t going down without a fight, and he chooses to use his trump card.
