Kim Tate’s (Claire King) freedom can be jeopardized after Andrea’s (Anna Nightingale) unexpected death in Emmerdale.
The stalwart has never hidden her distaste for her former daughter-in-law, and their enmity was on display last week, with emotions running high in the aftermath of Jamie’s (Alexander Lincoln) ‘death.’
Jamie vanished from the face of the earth many weeks ago after his car was found in a lake. Kim believes her kid is still alive because his body was never retrieved from the wreckage.
Andrea severed all links with Kim, telling her that she was not to have any contact with Millie, out of concern for her daughter’s safety. Kim, on the other hand, was not about to give up without a fight, and she attempted to gain sole custody of her granddaughter!
Andrea was furious when she found out what Kim was up to, and she retaliated by filing a restraining order against the Home Farm entrepreneur.
Kim publicly threatened Andrea’s life before the survival challenge because of the restraining order.
Will Kim’s deeds come back to haunt her now that Andrea has died in the fire?
Andrea’s death appears to be nothing more than a tragic accident at the moment, but additional examination will almost certainly disclose that she died of severe head injuries.
Viewers are aware that Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu) is the perpetrator, but given the serial killer’s tendency for getting away with murder – literally – she is unlikely to be named as a suspect at this time.
Given their continuous feud, Kim will have had reason to want her former daughter-in-law dead.
Furthermore, Andrea’s death occurred on Kim’s property, at an event hosted by HOP, a company run by the legend herself.
If the authorities suspect foul play, Kim will almost certainly be named as the main suspect in Andrea’s death.
