Kevin Mathurin, a star of Emmerdale, paid tribute to Eddie Osei after learning of his abrupt and unexpected departure from the program.
As fans are aware, Eddie played newcomer Victor, the father of vicar Charles Anderson, who had just recently been introduced.
After a shocking narrative turn revealed that Victor’s imprisonment had been caused by Charles’ failure to give him an alibi years ago, he was freed from prison.
To Charles’ dismay, who was sure that his father hadn’t changed at all, the convicted felon, who was battling a brain aneurysm, was desperate to win back Claudette’s (Flo Wilson) affection.
But on Tuesday, August 29, events took a startling turn when Manpreet Sharma’s (Rebecca Sarker) jewelry, which Rishi Sharma (Bhasker Patel) had gifted to her, ended up in Victor’s hands.
Victor fled quickly after being horrified by what was happening; Charles later discovered him at St. Mary’s church. But a second jolt made it clear that the figure had passed away.

After the aforementioned scenes, Kevin, who has portrayed Charles on Victor for almost three years, posted on social media to say goodbye to Eddie, the show’s star.
He stated on Instagram, “Last night saw the end of Victor played by the wonderful soul that is Eddie Osei.”
