In a scary video clip for Super Soap Week, Coronation Street reveals a shocking death.

Fans of Coronation Street have been counting down the days before the show’s blockbuster Super Soap Week – and now the wait is over.

To celebrate the upcoming episodes, the ITV soap has produced a scary new video, which promises all of the explosive action to come, including the shocking death of a known cobbles figure.

There will be plenty to keep soap viewers on the edge of their seats in the coming days, as the short but frightening trailer indicates, from the terrifying return of wicked drug boss Harvey (Will Mellor) to the much-anticipated clash between Abi (Sally Carman) and Corey (Maximum Evans).

With so many characters seeking vengeance on one another, the teaser also teases the death of a mysterious Weatherfield inhabitant, saying, “Watch your back.” Nobody is safe.”

Abi’s planned vengeance on her son Seb’s murderer Corey is one major narrative that will reach a tragic conclusion.

Abi walks down the street with a loaded revolver, determined to see that Seb receives justice after Corey was recently released from prison.

The ground underneath them suddenly gives way as the two meet face to face in the house of horrors.

The opponents are then imprisoned in a sewer with rising water and only the gun to keep them company. Will one of them end up shooting the other?

In another scene, a handcuffed Harvey escapes from an overturned jail van in the rain.

He’s determined to confront the Battersby sisters, Leanne (Jane Danson) and Toyah (Georgia Taylor), for their role in his death.

The trailer also depicts the villainous Corey tormenting Nina (Mollie Gallagher), as well as fellow characters Jenny (Sally Ann Matthews) and Kevin (Michael Le Vell).

Iain McLeod, Corrie’s producer, has set the standard for the week, reminding fans that the dramatic trailer is merely the tip of the iceberg.

He said: “We set out to make a week of breathless, brilliant drama – and boy, have our outstanding cast, crew, design team and writers delivered!”

“The week is jam-packed with twists and turns, and an astonishing visual spectacle.”

“It also has heart, heroism, and humor in the most unexpected places. I have to say it again – our team has excelled themselves.”

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 7.30 pm and 8.30 pm.
