Home and Away fans will know Maddy Jevic for her role as Amber Simmons but the actress has now swapped soap for reality TV as she joins the cast of Married at First Sight Australia
Star of the television series Home and Away Maddy Jevic has joined Married at First Sight Australia as a “bombshell intruder bride”.
Alongside model Jade Pywell, the actress is one of two brides who plan to upend things in season 11 of the reality show. Maddy made her debut in the Australian serial opera in 2020 and is most recognized for playing Amber Simmonds.
After John Palmer (Shane Withington) suffered a stroke, the feisty character was added to care for him. However, her convoluted past with Colby Thorne (Tim Franklin), Willow Harris (Sarah Roberts), and Dean Thompson (Paddy O’Connor) quickly came to light.
Amber was revealed to be the sister of Dean and Colby’s friend, Jai, who was killed in a car crash in 2012 while the boys were involved in the River Boys gang. Her romantic history with Dean was made apparent and he discovered Amber was the mother of his child.
Amber said goodbye to Summer Bay in 2021, accompanied by her son Jai (River Jarvis). As Maddy is ready to make her MAFS debut, she has switched from soap operas to reality TV.
Other actors thought Maddy was a “mole” that was deliberately placed by the producers, according to sources who spoke with Daily Mail Australia. It was said that when she asserted that her profession was as a psychic medium rather than an actress, her co-stars became alarmed.
Maddy will be paired with Melbourne-based pest control worker Ash Galati, who is covered in tattoos and has a passion for Thai boxing. According to Nine, season 11 of MAFS AU will “bring a fresh take on the series with one of the most diverse cast of brides and grooms”.
There will be a more age-diverse mix with the introduction of the show’s oldest ever participant as well as a same-sex couple. It’s believed that Maddy and her husband-to-be will join the show a number of weeks after the first set of couples tie the knot.
