‘So great to see you two together.’
Emily Symons, star of Home and Away, celebrated a very special event by posting on Instagram for the first time in over four months.
Emily shared a photo of herself and her co-star Georgie Parker on Wednesday, mentioning that Georgie’s birthday was approaching.
She tweeted, “Amazing and very special pre-birthday lunch for my beautiful @georgieparker,” mentioning Woolloomooloo’s China Doll Restaurant.
“It’s Friday, but the celebration of her birthday begins today!”
Georgie was quick to respond, commenting beneath the picture.
“Yeaaaa thanks my love. Yummmmy,” she wrote.
“What a way to start the bday festival.”
“Look at you beauties,” wrote actress Rebecca Gibney.
“Happy early birthday, sister from another mister.”
Home and Away fans loved the sweet picture, which seemed to capture the pair’s strong bond.
“Two absolutely beautiful humans — in & out,” one follower wrote.
“So great to see you two together,” said another.
“Gorgeous girls,” added a third.
Emily and Georgie play Marilyn Chambers and Roo Stewart respectively on Home and Away.
Emily first joined the cast of the popular Seven drama in 1989, while Georgie came in later, in 2010.But they have clearly forged a strong friendship both on-set and off.“Lovely ladies,” one fan observed.“Beautiful picture of both of you,” said another.Earlier this year Emily opened up to 7LIFE about her time on the show after she was nominated for a Most Popular Actress Award at the 2022 Logies.
The actress remarked, “This character has been a blessing in my life and this job has been incredibly kind to me.”
“Marilyn is truly a divine being.”
“Being a part of the Home and Away family makes me very proud.”
Georgie is so well-liked that when it was revealed in September that she would be returning to the set after a seven-week hiatus, fans went crazy with excitement.
The writers gave Roo a break by having her get into an accident that required medical attention outside of Summer Bay, as the actress was playing in a play.
“So whilst Roo was off getting much-needed medical attention in the city, Georgie was in fact doing a play in Sydney written by the brilliant David Williamson, at the @ensembletheatre,” she explained.
“But Roo is back on our screens … So tune in @channel7 ”
Fans took to social media to share their delight at her return to the small screen.
“Yay! So glad you are back,” one fan wrote.
“I’m so happy Roo is back on the show tonight,” said another.
“I have missed Roo so much and the show has been less bright without her sunshine.
“Welcome back Georgie .”
