EXCLUSIVE: Actor Jeff Hordley of Cain Dingle and Emmerdale actress Zoe Henry got married a long time ago at drama school.
As Zoe Henry opened up about her current Emmerdale storyline, which is touching viewers’ hearts, she disclosed who she prioritizes over her husband Jeff Hordley.
Fans of Emmerdale are aware that Jeff plays Cain Dingle, the tough guy, and Zoe plays Rhona Goskirk, the village veteran.
Despite the fact that their characters on the ITV soap opera don’t often interact, the couple has been married since 2003 and has two kids, Violet and Stan.
Rhona is currently a part of a brutal plot centered on a young child named Ivy. Rhona’s embryos were used to create the baby, so she wants a say in her life, even though she might not have any legal rights.
While grieving, Rhona’s ex-husband Gus (played by Alan McKenna) is attempting to raise baby Ivy. Gus used the embryos with his current wife, who tragically passed away during childbirth.
In the run-up to Christmas, Zoe spoke with Express.co.uk and other publications about the intricate plot and shared her thoughts on raising Violet, 19, and Stan.
She said: “I was talking to Jeff actually, my husband, the other day about [the storyline].”
When Violet was six weeks old, according to Zoe, she and Jeff went to an automobile dealership, where the employees wanted to show the newborn to the women who worked there.
Zoe nodded, and the employee lifted Violet into her car seat so she could go visit her coworkers.
“Oh my God, I was pacing up and down the door like a caged tiger, waiting for my baby to come out. I’m not sure what I thought she would do.”
“And I suppose that’s the only sort of experience I can draw on where I can say that.”
Despite having frozen her eggs some fifteen years ago, she claimed that Rhona “just wants to hold” baby Ivy because she feels so connected to her.
“And for my husband in my real life, my kids come before anything else, you know,” Zoe, 50, continued.
“And I think Rhona possesses that primitive instinct,” the author continues. It has an effect on Marlon Dingle’s marriage and their relationship.”
What will happen when the holiday season ends? Rhona and her spouse Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) are spending Christmas with baby Ivy and Gus.
