As the village shop owner goes to court for fraud the following week on Emmerdale, he will suffer yet another devastating blow. When David Metcalfe (played by Matthew Wolfenden) got ticketed for speeding, the fine was issued in his girlfriend Victoria’s (Isabel Hodgin) name rather than his own.
Victoria was understandably incensed when she discovered what David had done, despite his claims that it was important to safeguard his company.
David was concerned that losing his license would kill his delivery business if he were to be caught speeding.
Victoria forced David to tell the police the truth after discovering his betrayal.
Since then, the two have broken up, and David has had to list his business for sale.
Jacob will be encouraged by Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) to get in touch with her and aid in her detox from Class A drugs.
Leyla is moved by her son’s deeds, and they begin to hang out more.
David will feel more alone than ever with Amba now in London, supporting Leyla alongside Priya Sharma (Fiona Wade) and Jacob.
Next week, Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles) and Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) discover a dead body in their B&B, so David isn’t the only local in for a huge surprise.
