The discovery of a dead corpse will rattle Emmerdale tonight, leaving two characters divided and compelled to lie.
In order to impress the audience at the glam event, Bob and Bernice have listed the talents of a harpist. They recently purchased the bed and breakfast in the hamlet and are prepared to open it this evening. As it is discovered that he has passed away, things quickly change, and Bob and Bernice must choose whether to contact the police or keep the tragedy a secret.
Now that Bernice and Bob are compelled to lie, actor Tony Audenshaw has hinted that a cover-up may be forthcoming.
The entrepreneurial duo are keen to get their B&B off to a good start and have planned a huge launch. However, Bob is left panicking when he unsuccessfully goes looking for Bernice, only to find out she has been upstairs with the harpist.
However, when the event gets underway, Tim the harpist is nowhere to be seen – and as Bob goes to check on what’s keeping him, he’s shocked to find him dead whilst all the guests party downstairs.
Concerned on what the best thing to do is, Bob goes to get Bernice and they have a big decision to make.
“Tim is found dead in the room when Bob checks on him from the second floor while the other guests are all downstairs. He goes to grab Bernice and tells her what is happening. What do they do now that they have a dead harpist on their hands? Do they make a police call? The body is it moved? For the most part, they are unsure about what to do. Bob is totally baffled by it “Tony clarified.
“Bob asks Bernice to clear the guests downstairs so they may call for assistance, but he has to wait for a very long time. It comes out that Bernice hasn’t taken any action to make things better. When Bob descends again, a local newspaper journalist is waiting for him. Folks are having a wonderful time, drinking, and enjoying themselves. Bernice simply lost control of herself in the excitement!”
Tony expressed his delight at working with Samantha Giles and how much he enjoys their “double act” dynamic.
Added him: “That definitely appeals to me. Although Sam and I have obviously known one other for a very long time and have shared a few odd moments together, working as a duo has been wonderful. When we worked together to clean up the community after the hurricane tale from the previous year, it all got began. The relationship was a little comedic at the time, and Sam is a pleasure to work with.”
