EastEnders actress Milly Zero called for the show to discover the background of Dotty by building up the Cotton family.
Dot’s granddaughter Dotty, now played by Milly, was reintroduced last year – ten years since we last saw her as a child.
Dotty moved to Walford to be with her grandma Dot, who hasn’t been on the screen since earlier this year.
Speaking to Digital Spy about the possibility of making a comeback for Dotty’s estranged brother Charlie – and probably other members of the Cotton family as well – Milly said, “It should be exciting because Dotty is a bit of a lone wolf right now.”
Even though she lives with Sonia and Whitney, she’s not related to them, and they don’t have her back in the way the family does.”
I think it would be exciting to have her family in the Square. I would love to explore that.”Milly has addressed the confusion surrounding June Brown’s departure from the soap, adding, “I just loved the small amount of time we worked together.
She’s so funny, so smart, and she’s such a great actress. “The door is left open for her to come back, and she’s gone off, but I’m not too sure what’s going to happen.”
