EastEnders spoilers: Dennis Rickman dies in boat tragedy.

While Linda and Mick Carter (Kellie Bright and Danny Dyer), Dennis Rickman (Bleu Landau), Bex Fowler (Jasmine Armfield), Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) and Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) all facing the possibility of death, EastEnders viewers were trying to figure out which of the mainstays of the soap would lose their life on the Thames party boat, and tonight they got their answers, as it was revealed Bobby (Clay Milner Russell) was severely beaten during Tuesday's episode as a result of social media posts by Dennis. Once Ian (Adam Woodyatt) learned that he was involved, he sought him out at the boat party on The Thames.

As Dennis tried to insult Ian, the Walford stalwart locked the young man in a space under decks so that he could both sober up and teach him a lesson.
Nevertheless, the tragedy struck, when Keanu and Phil's fight knocked the ship off course, resulting in a collision with another, forcing the lower decks of the boat to fill with water.
Ian attempted to save Dennis but lost the keys when there was another rapid move— leaving the audience, wondering if he would cause the young boy to die.
During the episode, tonight— which was revealed from multiple perspectives — Ian again looked for the keys, but once he had realised that this plan was not going to work, he set off in search of another, as Dennis banged at the door— trying to be rescued as the water filled the room Ian eventually returned with a fire extinguisher in his hand and repeatedly hit him off the wooden door until a small hole appeared in the middle of it. Then a pleased Dennis realised that the gap wasn't full enough, but Ian — realising that they were running out of time — didn't care, so he pushed the young boy through the hole.

When Dennis was out, he and Ian pushed through the water but another sudden move ended in them ending up again in the water. Ian was taken to hospital next thing we knew, while Dennis was pulled from the Thames.

The medics conducted CPR on the young man, but they realised — after some time— that it was no use. Dennis died. Meanwhile, Sharon (Letitia Dean)— who had just given birth to a baby boy— heard Keanu's heartbreaking news, and so she told him to leave and never return because she broke down in tears knowing she would never see her baby boy her Denny.
