Rocky Cotton and Kathy Beale, a beloved couple, are in peril, according to BBC spoilers for the upcoming episode of EastEnders.
Rocky Cotton (Brian Conley) and Kathy (Gillian Taylforth) of EastEnders are only recently wed, but their current living and financial circumstances are already causing relationship fissures to appear.
When Kathy’s son Ian (Adam Woodyat), who had been assumed dead for 25 years, returned to Albert Square with his ex-wife Cindy (Michelle Collins), the newlyweds found themselves without a place to live.
To Ian’s dismay, Kathy and Cindy were infamously at odds for years, and the passage of time did nothing to make things better.
Even though they had kept his enterprises running and paid the bills after he left in January 2021 without informing anybody where he was going, out of frustration over his mother’s inability to accept Cindy, he tossed her and Rocky out of the house.
Since then, they have been residing at Sonia Fowler’s (Natalie Cassidy) house, which limits their privacy.
According to spoilers from the BBC, Rocky tries to persuade Kathy to spend some time alone the following week, but their living condition is having an adverse effect.
They are living in the same home as Sonia and her boyfriend Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman), and due to their shared love of real crime movies, they are unable to enjoy a peaceful setting.
Rocky understands that they probably won’t be able to spend any quality time together at the house, despite being appreciative that Sonia has opened her home to them in their time of need.
He arranges a romantic picnic in the car lot to make sure they won’t be disturbed.
While Kathy is enraged that Rocky wasted money they didn’t have, Rocky is pleased with his efforts.
She gives him a tongue lashing instead of tumbling into his arms, and Rocky realizes he will need to take dramatic measures to get them back on track.
Will he do something stupid and can they survive this break in their relationship since he needs money desperately to fix their current situation?
