EastEnders: Alfie cufflink twist has ruined fan theories over Christmas death

Fans of EastEnders have had their theories blown apart by the arrival of a box of cufflinks on the square last night (Monday, December 18). This came as Alfie Moon and Billy Mitchell hatched a moneymaking scheme which involved selling the jewellery on the market.

Eagle-eyed fans will know that a pair of cufflinks have become central to this year’s murder mystery – after a flash-forward revealed that one Walford male will be killed on Christmas Day.

Although the identity of the victim remains unknown, the show did reveal that he will be wearing a pair of the distinctive cufflinks.

Last night’s episode of the soap saw Alfie arrive on the market with a case of cufflinks. As he and Billy set about selling them, a number of fan theories were thrown into doubt.

Fans of EastEnders were left wondering about Alfie’s cufflink plan.
Fans responded to the unexpected appearance of the cufflinks as the episode aired last night. And the implications for their fan theories confused a lot of people.

One fan commented, “So much for follow the cufflinks.”

Another person commented, “That was clever, how EastEnders could have Billy and Alfie sell the same pair of cufflinks so conveniently.”

“Catch-up watching EastEnders.” You are a [bleep]! This whole story has been absolutely destroyed by Alfie selling cufflinks. Now anyone might be the dead body! Right now, EastEnders is pure genius,” a third person commented.

“OMG. The cufflinks! They were now available to anyone on the entire square. Even several people! Naturally, all credit goes to Alfie Moon. “Well done, EastEnders, well done,” a fourth person remarked.

But who will ultimately purchase the tragic cufflinks, just before they are killed on Christmas?
