Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King) made a series of shocking discoveries about husband Geoff Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew) during the latest episode of Coronation Street, and therefore she resolved to go to her grandson’s wedding after all, but sinister Geoff stopped her from doing so — issuing her with a deadly threat in the process. As she manages to escape during tonight’s episode, she makes yet another shocking discovery.
Yasmeen was horrified to discover all the emails Geoff had been receiving from the escort agency, and therefore she resolved to confront him on the matter.
Being an expert liar and master manipulator, Geoff concocted a fictional narrative to explain away the correspondence with Rachel, but he was caught out in regards to the existence — or lack thereof — of a hotel confirmation.
He confirmed that he didn’t book the hotel, and the revelation was enough to give Yasmeen the strength she needed to make a huge decision. Yes, she decided to attend Zeedan’s wedding after all, but Geoff attempted to talk her out of it.
Yasmeen made her way to the door after packing a suitcase, but sinister Geoff blocked her way — informing her that she’s not going anywhere.
During tonight’s episode, Yasmeen successfully manages to evade Geoff’s control as she makes it out of the house.
Afterwards, she heads up to Alya’s (Sair Khan) to inform her that she’s going to the wedding after all — confirming the young woman’s suspicions about Geoff in the process.
However, Yasmeen’s soon horrified when she receives messages on her phone from Geoff — messages which imply that he might take his own life.
She insists she must check on Geoff and Alya agrees to go with her, and — upon their arrival — Yasmeen finds a smashed photo frame with blood on it. However, there’s no sign of Geoff.
Where has he gone?
Is he okay?
Is this all part of his plan to manipulate Yasmeen?
