While wife Sinead was going to die, Daniel was unable to handle himself, and so in Bethany sought relief. The two had shown something of a bond before but had continued to refrain from acting on that connection, that is before they kissed while feelings were running high. Daniel was deeply confused about his decisions in the months that followed and felt as if he had let Sinead down. As a result, he set aside his concerns and decided to put Bertie first, as it was not only the right thing to do, but it was also what Sinead wanted. In the last couple of weeks, however, emotions ran high once again, as Bertie ended up in the hospital, and Bethany came for his help.
The couple shared another kiss, and in the weeks since then, it has become clear that the chemistry between them is too clear to ignore.
Gail holds a party for Oliver in the upcoming episodes, and Bethany arrives with Daniel in tow. Adam discovers that Sarah has invited the entire factory to their wedding, and points out that Beth could kick off at Bethany and Daniel as if they were intent on going together.
