Coronation Street viewers were disgusted last night when Dev Alahan told daughter Asha that her dead mother Sunita, would be ashamed of her. The shopkeeper could not contain his anger after David Platt made him aware that Asha’s sex tape was being circulated.
The teen was bullied by a video that Corey Brent recorded without her permission and later leaked to fellow schoolgirl Kelly Neelan. After David discovered the disturbing video on his son Max’s mobile, he quickly made Dev aware of it. However, instead of consoling his daughter, he responded with anger, saying, “You know what? I’ve been so proud of you recently, but not today,

However, Dev refuses to listen to her and files the incident to the school as well. Her worries are confirmed as her peers in the kebab shop are bullied by Dev’s meddling. She begs her father to withdraw his allegations to the police and the school, but Dev refuses at first.
Asha reaches the breaking point, and when she gets a load of nasty texts, she hurls her phone down to the floor. When Dev sees the pain, she is through, and he ends up agreeing to a U-turn.
