The Woolpack is at the center of a family conflict, and Chas and Charity Dingle are fighting for its survival.
The two landladies, who have been feuding more than ever, eventually engage in a battle that shakes Emmerdale.
Chas (played by Lucy Pargeter) was hopeful that the historic tavern wouldn’t be sold to a new owner after disagreeing with Al Chapman.
However, she quickly realized she wasn’t going to get off easy when her cousin Charity (Emma Atkins) and her son Ryan Stocks got their hands on the Woolpack during a stressful auction day (James Moore).
Since then, both women have had to work together on their bar plans, although they are still at odds.
Things are becoming increasingly difficult as both the Woolpack and the B&B are preparing to host major events on the same day in upcoming scenes of the long-running serial.
Charity is first irritated to discover that the Woolpack renovation is not yet complete, and Chas has accepted a position at the B&B.
Mandy later decides to organize Liv and Vinny’s engagement party in the B&B with Chas, knowing that it will directly conflict with the grand launch of the Woolpack, as she suffers from the hurt of her only son being married behind her back.
In other words, Chas deliberately obstructs Charity’s debut.
Charity puts on a strong face to cover her pain after learning of the plan, knowing that the family would be skipping her reopening to attend the engagement party, and she is determined to keep the peace despite Chas’ attempts to put her down.
As Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) and Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) take sides and try to destroy each other’s plans, the rivalry becomes increasingly nasty.
Charity, on the other hand, has had enough by the time the double day arrives.
As the crisis unfolds, she goes on the offensive and shows up at the Village Hall to confront Chas.
As soon as she enters, a mysterious hand activates the sprinkler system, dousing both characters in the water while they squabble.
The wedding reception for Vinny and Liv is destroyed, but things get even worse when Charity rubs Lydia’s handmade potato salad in Chas’ face in a fit of wrath.
Will the feuding cousins ever be able to get along after this?
What will Liv and Vinny’s reaction be after their altercation?
