LOVED-UP COUPLES ARE GETTING READY FOR A NIGHT OF ROMANCE WITH VALENTINE’S DAY ON THE horizon.
Love, on the other hand, is not in the air in Weatherfield. Find out what happened on Monday’s episode of Coronation Street.
1. Amy gets spiked
Amy Barlow (played by actress Elle Mulvaney), who recently had her 18th birthday, is looking forward to adulthood.
Amy is ready for a night of partying when her new boyfriend Jacob Hay (Jack James Ryan) recommends they go to a nightclub with her pals after Valentine’s Dance.
The evening, however, takes a terrifying turn when Amy not only enters the club but also enters the floor.
Jacob yells at Asha, Aadi, and Summer to call an ambulance as she becomes progressively woozy upon her arrival.
Jacob does everything he can to assist her, including putting her in the recovery posture.
As a result, he suspects that her drink was tainted.
According to hospital reports, Jacob is correct – Amy was the target of spiking since traces of GHB were discovered during blood tests.
Jacob’s attempts go unnoticed because Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) believes he is the only one who can be held responsible for the tragedy.
He yanks the young criminal away from his daughter, startled by her lifeless appearance.
As a result, Jacob informs Steve that he and Amy are dating.
Tensions emerge between the two, but according to a nurse, Amy is on the mend thanks to Jacob’s rapid intervention.
Amy had been asked to leave the dance with her pals because teacher Daniel Osbourne noticed they were all inebriated before she left to go to the club.
This could indicate that she was spiked prior to entering the club, which could be corroborated by a critical witness.
While the authorities are conducting their investigation, Max Turner (Paddy Bever) has prepared a frightening video for them.
2. Adam ditches Sarah
Despite being the victim of a terrifying intimidation campaign, Sarah Barlow (Tina O’Brien) is left alone on Valentine’s Day.
The PA receives a call from her solicitor husband Adam Barlow at the Underworld factory (Sam Robertson).
He cancels their Valentine’s date, leaving her alone and irritated on what should have been one of the most beautiful nights of her life.
Adam has other commitments in his schedule, including an evening with a customer, whom he is shown escorting to a hotel restaurant.
Meanwhile, Sarah complains about her wasted Valentine’s Day to Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) and Carla Connor (Alison King) in the Rovers.
To add salt to the wound, her coworker Lydia Chambers (Rebecca Ryan) appears to have had better luck with love than she has, despite the fact that she is married.
Lydia flaunts the sultry lingerie she received while at the factory.
She misinterprets the present as coming from her ex and pretends to be perplexed by his contradictory messages.
Is this, however, just another deception to separate the couple?
Lydia has been plotting to make Adam and Sarah’s lives unpleasant while lurking in the shadows, as ITV viewers know.
3. Sally feels left out
With the support and care of his mother Elaine, Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) has been recovering after triple bypass surgery at No.4 (Paula Wilcox).
However, while the two actors portray happy families, Tim’s wife Sally (Sally Dynevor) has been feeling increasingly neglected.
As a result, Sally was expecting for a return of romance for Valentine’s Day.
Elaine’s bubble is blown when she recommends to Tim that they play a wicked game of landlords and renters.
She emphasizes that her kid requires time to relax and that any sexual activity should be avoided in the interim.
Sally is enraged because her romantic evening has been ruined.
Is she preparing to pack her belongings and depart Weatherfield for good?
