When asked by TV Tonight if he would contemplate blowing up Ramsay Street as a farewell, Neighbours executive producer Jason Herbison quickly dismissed the idea.
“I’d never, ever blow it up,” Jason stated emphatically. “The conclusion will be a celebration of the past and present, with the possibility of a future left open.”
“Ramsay Street is immortal, and I like to imagine that long after the final scene, it will live on in the hearts and imaginations of the spectators.”
Aside from that, the executive producer held his cards close to his chest when it came to the plot of the finale.
Who’s going to leave Neighbours?
Some of the soap’s actors have declared that they will be departing the show ahead of the last episode.
Kyle Canning (Chris Milligan) and Roxy Willis, newlyweds, are among the characters saying their farewell (Zima Anderson).
According to Digital Spy, the performers’ exits were confirmed by Colette Mann, who played Sheila Canning, during an Isolation Interviews conversation with Hospital Radio Reading.
Ned Willis (portrayed by Ben Hall) is another character believed to be leaving the programme since his contract has expired, according to the website.
The three cast members’ exits were claimed to have been planned ahead of time before the show’s cancellation was confirmed.
Who’s coming back to Neighbours?
According to a February article from The Sun, Ian Smith agreed to join the show as Harold Bishop’s farewell guest star and was set to begin production in March.
The bigwigs are also in communication with Guy Pearce, who played Mike Young on the soap, according to the publication.
Meanwhile, it’s been reported that Jason Donovan (Scott Robinson) has informed bosses that he will be in Melbourne in April and may return to Ramsay Street.
The actor reportedly wishes to be accompanied by pop phenomenon Kylie Minogue, who played his wife Charlene on the show.

Why is Neighbours coming to an end?
On March 3rd, 2022, it was reported that favourite soap Neighbours would be ending after nearly four decades on our screens.
On Thursday evening, the tragic news was shared on the official Neighbours Twitter account.
The first Tweet in the series said, “We are so sorry to say that after nearly 37 years and approximately 9000 episodes broadcast, we have to confirm that Neighbours will cease production in June.”
The message went on to explain why the axing was made.
“We simply have no choice but to put the show on hold following the loss of our important broadcast partner in the UK, despite a thorough hunt for alternative funding.”
The show’s “wonderful” and “dedicated” viewers were thanked in the tweet, which also promised a memorable finale.
“We understand that this is a great disappointment for all of us on the team. We appreciate all of your messages and support, and we pledge to end the programme on a positive note. We’ll be commemorating Neighbours from now on.”
