Jenny Connor recently left her position as the Rovers Return’s landlady in Coronation Street after learning that the establishment faced imminent closure due to financial difficulties with the building.
Stephanie Davies, who plays Courtney Vance on Coronation Street, has commented on the rumors that the Rovers Return’s new landlady might be Courtney Vance.
In a plotline with the characters Aadi Alahan (played by Adam Hussain) and Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin), Stephanie entered the serial opera as Courtney in June.
While Dev was working with Courtney’s husband Darren Vance (Ryan Early) to finalize a new business agreement, Courtney and Aadi started dating.
In another episode of the drama, Jenny Connor (Sally-Ann Matthews), who was having financial difficulties, was forced to sell the Rovers Return to Newton and Ridley.
Since then, Courtney’s name has been mentioned as a potential candidate to take over the Rovers as the new landlady.
A recent Instagram post by Stephanie showing her dressed as Courtney fetching pints sparked several fan theories.
@glitterwheellife pleaded with someone to “please say Courtney is gonna save the Rovers!!!”

In a recent interview with Inside serial, Stephanie discussed her part and hinted at the possibility of assuming the new job as well as Courtney’s potential future on the serial opera.
She remarked: “She’d make a fantastic landlady. She could get involved in all the rumors, which is why I believe she would adore it.
She wouldn’t accept any trash, but there wouldn’t be any drama at her bar.
After she and Darren went on a vacation together, Courtney left the show for a few weeks.
She will be back the next week, at which point Dev and Darren will be shocked and furious as their connection with Aadi becomes official.
How will their relationship impact the business deal between Dev and Darren?
Could Dev ultimately fire Aadi for thwarting his future plans? Or will Courtney still assist them in closing the business and winning Dev’s favor?
