Welcome to The News One. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website thenewsone.co.uk and the mobile application The News One (collectively, the “Service”), operated by The News One. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and that you accept these Terms in full. If you are using the Service on behalf of a company or organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
2. Description of the Service
The News One provides news articles, episode summaries, video content, streaming servers, and related features. Some content may be generated or summarised using artificial intelligence. Content is provided for personal, non-commercial informational use.
3. Accounts
Certain features, such as commenting, liking, bookmarks, and Premium subscriptions, may require you to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
4. Premium Subscription & Billing
Premium features are available through a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to:
- Pay the applicable subscription fee (monthly, yearly, or one-time lifetime plan) as displayed at the time of purchase.
- Authorise recurring charges. Unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period, subscriptions renew automatically at the same interval until cancelled.
- Manage or cancel your subscription through the app store (Google Play or Apple App Store) where you purchased it. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Understand that refunds are handled in accordance with the policies of the applicable app store, and that we cannot process refunds for payments made through those stores.
5. Donations
Donations are voluntary, one-time payments made to support the Service. Donations are non-refundable unless required by law.
6. User Content
You may have the ability to submit comments, feedback, and other content (“User Content”). You retain ownership of your User Content but grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, use, reproduce, and display it in connection with the Service.
You agree not to submit User Content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, obscene, infringing, or that violates the rights of any third party. We reserve the right to remove any User Content at our sole discretion.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, its servers, or systems.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app.
- Scrape, harvest, or systematically download content without our written permission.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its networks.

All content on the Service — including articles, logos, graphics, design, software, and the “The News One” name — is the property of The News One or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from such content without our prior written consent.
9. Third-Party Content, Links & Advertising
The Service may include links to third-party websites, advertising, and external streaming servers. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party services. Ads served within the app may be personalised in accordance with your preferences and applicable privacy laws.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The News One shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or for any other reason. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
