Nicolette’s grief at Chloe’s absence leads to an unplanned excursion to the winery on next week’s Neighbours in the UK. Meanwhile, the Cannings are being pursued, and Toadie reveals his feelings for Sonya.
These episodes will begin airing on Monday, July 19th.
Nicolette (Charlotte Chimes) just can’t seem to get a break these days, and this week is no exception. Chloe (April Rose Pengilly) is trying to adjust to her new work after weeks of putting up with her ex.
It’s bad enough that Nicolette’s job is keeping her away from their relationship, but it’s much worse that she’s working alongside her ex-boyfriend Leo (Tim Kano), whom Nic had no knowledge about until last week.
Nic is unaware that while she is concerned about Chloe’s whereabouts, Leo is providing her with a supportive shoulder.
“Nic and I aren’t exactly in the honeymoon phase,” she admits to Leo, who is taken aback.
Particularly after Pierce’s (Don Hany) return and the misunderstanding on Fay’s (Zoe Bertram) birthday, Chloe makes it plain that they’ve been going through a hard patch. But she tells Leo that their relationship will be OK.
Leo is clearly skeptical from the start, but he holds his tongue for the sake of their relationship.
Nic is once again disappointed when Chloe cancels plans owing to a lunch made up for her and Leo at the winery by Hendrix (Benny Turland).
The business partners having a fantastic time over lunch. As a consequence, Hendrix begins to wonder whether there’s more between them than meets the eye. After all, they appear to be on a date to him.
As the hours pass, Nicolette becomes tired of Chloe’s absence and joins Hendrix at the winery.
Her unexpected appearance, however, does not distract Chloe from her task, and the redhead is deflated once again.
Hendrix proposes a picnic as a way to cheer Nic up. When she gets lost amid the vines, however, she discovers that it is far more hazardous than anybody imagined.
Nicolette collapses as the hysteria grows. She calls for help with a dead phone battery and stomach pains… However, no one is present.
Will Nicolette and the child make it?
In other news, after Mitch (Kevin Hofbauer) and Nelson (Rhys Mitchell) surprised Kyle (Chris Milligan) and Levi (Richie Morris) by arriving in Erinsborough last week, it was determined that the youngest Canning would break off his pursuit of their couple. However, it appears that too little, too late is the situation.
Levi and Yashvi (Olivia Junkeer) are scoping out the warehouse where the guys who beat up Levi were spotted just a few days ago.
Kyle makes an unexpected discovery when he chooses to visit Hastings on the spur of the moment. Levi’s marked police vehicle is parked outside the facility. Kyle approaches his cousin, who denies any knowledge of the situation. They don’t find out until Yashvi meets them at No. 30 that she has been following them down and scouting them out.
Kyle blasts the duo, but the trio is in for a greater surprise when they discover Hugo (John Turner) has a train that is an exact duplicate of the one left on the Cannings’ doorstep.
Meanwhile, Sheila, who lives at No. 26, suspects that someone is in her house when she discovers a carton of eggs in a different position from where she left them.
She shrugs it off and gets to work on dinner. She does, however, hear a door open after dinner is completed. She realises it isn’t Kyle or Levi as she looks around the home.
Sheila shuts the door behind her and turns around. Her face flushes and she screams as she does so.
“Who’s there?” says the narrator.
Melanie (Lucinda Cowden) shows up in the evening, having not heard anything from Toadie (Ryan Moloney), to make arrangements to spend time with him. She’s taken aback when he rejects, citing back-to-back meetings.
Toadie downloads to Karl (Alan Fletcher) and Susan (Jackie Woodburne) the next day, and they are both upset to learn that he made up an excuse to avoid spending time with his girlfriend.
Karl encourages him to be open and honest about the problem, suggesting that it may be the greatest thing he can do for his relationship.
Toadie sits down with Melanie and says that he was attempting to work through his difficulties when he realised it was best. He started avoiding her when he couldn’t. He recounts what happened, admitting that it wasn’t ideal.
He replies, “I saw you standing in Sonya’s place,” referring to her volunteer work at the nursery.
Toadie is reassured by Melanie’s assurance that she would never try to force Sonya out of his life. Despite the fact that she isn’t trying, he verifies that she is.
Melanie raises the enquiry, concerned about the implications for her relationship. What does this imply for their romance?
Melanie reveals over a cup of tea that she had previously been with a widower – Joe (Mark Little). Toadie differs from him in that she was acquainted with Joe’s late wife, Kerry (Linda Hartley-Clark).
The nicest thing that came out of it was Joe and Melanie talking about Kerry all the time and keeping her memory alive.
Toadie, on the other hand, can’t seem to wrap his brain around it.
How can he keep Sonya’s memories alive, while moving on with another woman?
