Amy (Jacinta Stapleton) is free and single in Ramsay Street and having a great time. She’s eager for a bit more fun with someone else in Neighbours after having a dalliance with Shane (Nick Coghlan) and a wicked flirtation with Ned (Ben Hall).
Ned, on the other hand, is not ready to let go, even if she is. He hasn’t given up hope for their chemistry, especially because he had assumed she couldn’t get enough of him. He believes he can win her over with some flirtatious conversation, but his ego takes a hit when Amy brushes him aside and tells him she isn’t interested. He’s today’s chip paper and yesterday’s news.
Her gaze has drifted and has rested on Levi (Richie Morris). He’s ready to shake off his blues and have some fun, which is fortunate for her. He and Amy spend an innocent night roasting marshmallows by the campfire, but before they realise it, they’re heating things up even more than the firepit and having a little ‘no strings’ fun.
Ned, on the other hand, isn’t ready to let go, and when he hears that Yashvi (Olivia Junkeer) is leaving, he takes it as a sign that he may go back to Amy. He approaches her again and expresses his feelings, indicating that he is now free to do anything he wants.
But, alas, Amy is no longer enthralled by the prospect. She tells him she’s done with him for good; he was only a toy for a time, and she’s moved on to greater things (she hopes).
When she finds that her new boyfriend is the same age as her son, she is taken aback. Levi seems unfazed by the age disparity and is eager to have more fun. Is Amy able to look through it?
Ned is devastated by the rejection and goes all theatrical, resigning his job at the Flamingo angrily, preferring unemployment to dealing with a shattered ego. He’s single and about to become destitute. What will happen next to him?
