Mel’s (Lucinda Cowden) sex secret is uncovered, and Ned (Ben Hall) makes a saucy confession in Neighbours, which means a lot more skeletons are ready to fall out of the closet.
Toadie (Ryan Moloney) is perplexed as to why Melanie isn’t able to get a new work, but when her CV raises some red flags, Susan (Jackie Woodburne) jumps into action, finding a major sex secret that Toadie isn’t prepared for.
Ned and Levi (Richie Morris) are still in love with Amy (Jacinda Stapleton), but Ned tells the pair that he wants to stop competing and try something new. How will the others react to his wacky idea?
After assaulting Leo, David (Takaya Honda) is on a hazardous path this week (Tim Kano). Karl (Alan Fletcher) is going to watch him show another part of himself, and it might lose him his job.
Terese (Rebekah Elmaloglou) is dealing with a terrible reminder of the past, while Harlow (Jemma Donovan) has a cunning scheme up her sleeve.
Here’s what’s coming up next in Neighbours.
Will Chloe go over the edge?
With Nicolette gone, Chloe is free to express her true feelings. Leo is eager to investigate their connection, but as he prepares to make the move, cold, harsh truth strikes her. She backs up as she realises she’s on the verge of tragedy. Nic is what she wants, and now is the moment to reclaim her.
David spins
It’s all downhill for David after revealing his secret aggressive tendency by hitting his sibling in a fit of fury. As he anxiously searches for Nicolette and his kid, he seeks advice from her obstetrician. He loses it again at the undeserved doctor when he gets nowhere and his conflicting feelings bubble up. When Karl notices this, he realises he needs to step in and tell David he needs to take a vacation from work. David creeps home with his tail between his legs, but Aaron loses it when he discovers what has occurred. He can’t handle David’s outbursts, let alone their kid going missing and Chloe’s treachery.
Amy has her cake and eats it as well
Levi and Ned are fighting for Amy’s affections, and after Levi organises an unbelievable date for her, Ned is forced to bring out the major guns. Amy is savouring the attention, completely oblivious that the two gentlemen are watching her.
She cares about her more than she cares about them. Roxy and Kyle inform her with the information, and she is delighted. But she’ll be in for a greater surprise. Ned gets fed up with the rivalry and comes up with an unexpected plan: he summons Levi and Amy and suggests that they try polyamory. Levi has a surprising amount of enthusiasm, but is it too much for Amy?
Terese’s painful memories were resurrected
Harlow convenes a conference in order to heal fences between Jesse, Terese, and Paul. Jesse is anxious to apologise, but Terese is reminded of Josh when she sees him. Harlow is disappointed to learn that she will have to let Jesse leave. Will she, however, be able to do so?
Aaron makes an effort to make apologies
Aaron’s life is falling apart around him, with Nic and the baby gone and David quickly becoming into someone he doesn’t recognise. He’s in need of some help, and his feelings for Chloe are starting to warm up. He reaches out to her, unwilling to forgive but desperate to salvage their relationship before it deteriorates further. It’s only a first step, but the two are on the verge of reconciling. Will she, however, be there for him if his marriage falls apart?
Mel is concealing something
Toadie is angry for Mel because she is having trouble finding work, but when he looks at her CV, he sees why – there isn’t much there, and she hasn’t listed any of the large legal companies she has worked for. He tells Susan, who goes on the lookout for gossip, which she gets from Karl. Mel had a disastrous affair with her employer, he admits. Hendrix and Sheila learn the truth once the rumour is exposed. Susan is now terrified that the entire neighbourhood will learn Melanie’s secret, and it will be traced back to Toadie, and it will all be her fault for investigating. Susan, on the other hand, isn’t content to stop there; she decides she has to know more and begins digging into Mel’s background.
She runs with Dr. Anna Buke from Mel’s past and they set up a meeting. Susan, on the other hand, is saddled with some deep dark secrets that are, quite frankly, none of her concern as a result of the meeting. What is she going to do with them? Tell Toadie and ruin the finest thing he’s had since Sonya, or keep it a secret to protect him and risk him discovering she knew all along?
Harlow takes up Chloe’s position
In Chloe’s absence, Paul has given Harlow a lot more authority, but Chloe knows she’s likely to lose her footing in the family company now that she’s decided to leave the vineyard and return to Lassiters. Chloe, on the other hand, plays directly into Harlow’s hands when she skips work due to a family emergency, allowing Harlow to step up to the plate. She’s establishing a name for herself, and Paul and Terese aren’t going to miss it.
Scenes will begin airing on Channel 5 on Monday, August 23.
