Tane Parata of Home and Away needs to think about his future with Ziggy Astoni, who will be on UK screens next week.
When Tane (Ethan Browne) discovers that Ziggy has cheated on him by sharing a passionate kiss with her ex-partner Dean Thompson, he has reason to distrust his relationship.
In upcoming Channel 5 episodes, Ziggy (Sophie Dillman) succumbs to Dean’s seduction as the two go to Bella Nixon’s photography show together.
Dean (Patrick O’Connor) assumes that this is the start of a reunion, but when Ziggy still won’t forgive him for his role in the Ross Nixon murder cover-up, he realizes that this isn’t the case.
To add to the confusion, Tane’s nephew Nikau (Kawakawa Fox-Reo) sees the kiss and is disgusted with Ziggy for cheating.
After everyone has returned to the Bay, Tane chastises Nikau for going to the photography exhibition and harassing Bella after their breakup.
Nikau is enraged by his uncle’s meddling, so he challenges Tane to question Ziggy about what transpired between her and Dean at the exhibition.
Tane is skeptical of Nikau’s veiled warning, so he tries to insinuate himself into Ziggy and Dean’s conversations behind their backs.
Neither Dean nor Ziggy falls into the trap, despite their fears that Tane could know something.
Finally, Ziggy makes the decision to come clean and inform Tane about the kiss.
Tane doesn’t end their relationship right away, but he does tell Ziggy that he’ll need some time to comprehend her deception.
Tane and Ziggy go out for an awkward meal later in the week and barely speak to each other.
A disappointed Ziggy gives up on the date and leaves Tane there, fed up with him giving her the cold shoulder.
Tane takes a risk by asking Ziggy to look him in the eyes and declare that her romantic relationship with Dean is finished for good.
Ziggy assures Tane that this is the case, and the two kisses, but is Tane just setting himself up for future heartbreak?
