Christian Green of Home and Away will confront another difficult issue next week when his patient Rachel Young confesses her affections for him.
After Rachel was injured in a terrible skydiving accident, Christian (Ditch Davey) has spent weeks dedicated his time to her.
Christian (who happened to be at the airfield at the time) treated Rachel (Marny Kennedy) at the scene of the accident.
Christian, seeing this as fate, decided to postpone his wedding so that he could monitor Rachel’s treatment at the hospital. He was certain that he would be the one to rescue Rachel’s life.
Christian tells Rachel that she’s finally ready to be discharged from the hospital in upcoming episodes on Channel 5.
Rachel is afraid to return to normalcy, in part because Christian will no longer be available to spend time with her.
Meanwhile, Christian confronts Jasmine Delaney (Sam Frost), his coworker, after she ignored him and Rachel earlier.
Jasmine makes no apologies for her aloof demeanour, stating how awful she feels for Christian’s fiancée Tori Morgan (Penny McNamee), who has been pushed aside by Rachel in recent weeks.
Christian visits Rachel’s room later to say goodbye, but when she reaches out to touch him, he gets more than he bargained for.
Christian eventually realises that he’s been sending Rachel conflicting signals about their relationship.
Christian gently explains that he has never thought of Rachel as a love fit and that they have nothing in common.
Rachel is perplexed because she knows how much Christian has given up for her. Is it possible that Tori and Christian may reunite as a result of this?
