He’s one of several celebrities rumoured to be joining Big Brother VIP, which is slated to premiere later this year and has a star-studded cast.
However, when asked if he would be appearing in the Channel Seven series, former Home and Away actor Lincoln Younes delivered a harsh reaction on Wednesday.
The 29-year-old stated on Instagram that he will ‘never’ participate in Big Brother, before urging followers to return to reading news ‘that truly matters.’
Lincoln, who portrayed Casey Braxton on the famous drama, scribbled in black-and-white, ‘Rumours about me entering Big Brother.’ ‘No. This is not the case. Never in a million years.’
‘Now, back to news that truly matters,’ he said, providing a screenshot of the devastation caused by Australia’s lockout on the arts industry.
A network insider told Woman’s Day in April that producers were eyeing many major stars for this year’s lineup, including Lincoln and radio personality Ash Pollard.
Caitlyn Jenner is one of the foreign guests on the show, and she is now quarantined after flying down from the United States.
For her two-week appearance on the reality programme, the California Governor candidate is expected to receive $500,000.
Thomas Markle Jr, Meghan Markle’s estranged half brother, will also feature in the series.
Married At First Sight’s Jessika Power, former athlete Matt Sherrington, TV personality James Tobin, comedian Josh Thomas, and former Hi-5 singer Charli Robinson are all rumored housemates.
Jamie Doran recently dismissed reports that he was joining the programme, posting a photo of a story saying he was with: ‘I can assure you that this is not the case.’
After a first season in 2002, Big Brother VIP is the second celebrity-themed Big Brother format to run in Australia.
In the following weeks, the programme will begin filming at Sydney Olympic Park in a new Big Brother house.
Despite Sydney’s construction prohibition, the new set is presently being built after the producers were granted special clearance.
Sonia Kruger will return as presenter of the show, which will premiere on Channel Seven later this year.
