In next week’s episode of EastEnders, GRAY Atkins takes extraordinary measures to prevent Karen Taylor from knowing his horrible secret.
Toby Alexander-Smith plays the killer in the BBC One soap, who has been working in a restaurant since his boss Laura fired him and put him on the firm’s blacklist.
He interrupts their chat, telling her how bad the place is and proposing they go somewhere else, fearful of being discovered.
Gray immediately shifts the focus by informing Karen that he will be attending his father’s funeral.
Gray eventually catches up with Whitney, who has been avoiding him, but she declines when he begs for forgiveness and invites her to his father’s burial.
Later, Chelsea attempts to converse with him, as Karen observes from afar.
It all starts when Karen charges over to Chelsea and accuses her of gold-digging.
Chelsea barges into Gray’s house later and, astonished to see him so upset, agrees to accompany him to the funeral.
Gray begins to cry as they return, and Chelsea consoles him.
When he asks Chelsea to marry him, she’s taken aback.
