When fans tuned in to Friday night’s episode of EASTENDERS, they got more than they bargained for.
A mouse scurried over a coat-covered corpse in the closing picture of the BBC soap, which showed a skeleton hand sticking from beneath the floorboards of the Argee Bhajee.
Tina Carter (Luisa Bradshaw-White) was murdered by Gray Atkins, and the hand belonged to her (Toby-Alexander Smith).
After learning where Tina’s body is buried, viewers were quick to express their shock on Twitter.
“Obsessed with #Eastenders becoming American Horror Story,” one person wrote.
“That conclusion was a little dark dear god,” commented another.
“That shot of Tina under the floorboards gotta be the most unsettling thing I’ve seen on EE in a while,” a third person said.
EastEnders pays touching tribute
Viewers watched last night’s episode end with a touching tribute to the man behind Dr Legg after he passed away aged 95.
The message read: “In memory of Leonard Fenton. 1926 – 2022.”
One emotional fan wrote: “Aww came up at the end of #eastenders that Leonard Fenton had died… Dr Legg …”
Another added: “Sad to hear the lovely Leonard Fenton has passed away.
“He’ll always be remembered as Dr Legg from #EastEnders “
